Modular Unified Solver of the Equation of State (MUSES) is an NSF-funded large-collaboration project that is developing new cyberinfrastructure to provide the scientific community novel tools to answer critical interdisciplinary questions in nuclear physics, gravitational-wave astrophysics, and heavy-ion physics.

CAPS Work on the MUSES Project:

CAPS is developing a cornerstone of the project: the MUSES Calculation Engine, a web application and workflow-management system that orchestrates the execution of a set of modules developed by participating physics research groups. Furthermore, CAPS deploys the Calculation Engine as a public resource for the research community on a dedicated Kubernetes cluster hosted by NCSA’s Radiant cloud computing platform.

CAPS Personnel Holding Leadership Roles on the MUSES Project:
Nicolas Yunes: Principal Investigator

Current CAPS Personnel on the MUSES Project:
