About Cynthia Trendafilova

I did my undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I earned two undergraduate degrees, in Physics and Mathematics, along with a minor in German. I got my Ph.D. at UT Austin in high energy physics, studying dark matter in particular. After that I was a post-doc at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, before recently arriving at UIUC.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Beyond Standard Model physics, cosmology, and astrophysics. I work on constraining BSM physics via observations, with a focus on data-driven cosmology and CMB science. I am a member of the CMB-S4 collaboration. I have contributed to the development and public releases of the CLASS_delens and FisherLens delensing and forecasting codes.
